Armed Forces Day Parade and Festival

Join us at Barry Island this Summer to celebrate and support the Armed Forces Community, past, present, and future. The day will be full of exciting events and activities for the whole family including:  Marching parade led by the Royal Marine Band along with the RAF St Athan Band and City of Newport Pipes and Drums with MOD St Athan, HMS Cambria, 203 Field Hospital Volunteers, 614 Squadron, Cadet Associations, Veterans, Royal British Legion, Royal British Legion Riders Branch, Merchant Navy and the Royal Air Forces Association.

Military displays and vehicles including Royal Marine Unarmed Combat Teams, TS Cadet Gun Running, Military Preparation Training College, Military Climbing Wall and the Royal Navy Sea King Helicopter

After the march has taken place, a fun day event for all attending will commence with the opportunity to meet serving personnel and veterans.   Military displays and vehicles will be showcased throughout the day and stalls will be hosted by military charities and community groups who provide support services to the armed forces community. There will also be a food and drink area with pop up restaurants selling various treats.
