The Great Storm 1859

The Great Storm 1859: Cadw App

At the time of the Great Storm, sloop Merlin, one of many small ships carrying cargo around the coast, was on its way back to Barry after delivering limestone to Cardiff.After being caught out in the storm, the wreck was discovered on the rocks off Cold Knap Point.  Users can take a digital drone flight across the sea to discover the wreck and uncover the tragic tale of two young brothers, who almost made it back home.
