The Vale of Glamorgan has established a strong reputation as a destination that offers quality events, attracting visitors throughout the year. The ‘Event Grant Scheme’ aims to provide support to events that raise the profile of the Vale of Glamorgan to support its reputation as a quality event destination, complimenting existing events, bringing economic benefit to the region and has the potential to attract both staying and day visitors.
The latest round of grant funding to support events is now open and priority will be given to new events, or existing events that can show new elements . Applications for the financial year 2021/22 must be received before 31January 2021.
Grant funding of up to £1000 per application is available. Any grant awarded must not exceed 50% of the total event costs.
All events must be based in the Vale of Glamorgan and have measures in place to ensure Covid compliance.
Applicants will need to discuss their event idea with the Events Officer before submitting an application. Eligible applicants will be sent an application form to complete thereafter.
