New information boards at the Roman remains overlooking Cold Knap beach. Dating back to the end of the 3rd and beginning of the 4th century, the remains of the building laid underground for many years. It is thought that the building was originally used as an official guesthouse for the Imperial post system. It had 22 small rooms around an open courtyard, and was constructed of local Lias limestone. For more information please visit https://www.barry.cymru/history/roman-barry/
