Paws in the vale

The Vale of Glamorgan prides itself on welcoming your entire family, including your four-legged friends! You’ll find everything you need to enjoy a day out or a holiday with your dog.

Look out for the Paws in the Vale logo – these places are especially keen to welcome you and your dog.

Beaches

Dogs are welcome on nine of our beaches all year round, and on the other five beaches between 30 September and 1 May. You’ll be spoilt for choice when it comes to a splash around in the sea.

Walks

With miles and miles of spectacular Glamorgan Heritage Coast, wooded valleys and rural routes, you and your dog are guaranteed a great walk.

Accommodation

We have a range of dog-friendly places to stay – from hotels to caravan parks.

Places to Eat

You and your dog will receive warm welcome at cafes, restaurants and pubs displaying the Paws in the Vale logo. Expect dog bowls with fresh water and recommendations on where else to go with your dog.
