Vale of Glamorgan Events Grant Scheme 2023/24

Grant funding to support events in the Vale of Glamorgan

Now open! Our grant scheme to support events in the Vale of Glamorgan is now open.

The Vale of Glamorgan has established a strong reputation as a destination that offers quality events throughout the year. This year, our Events grant scheme has two streams; one for supporting visitor facing events and the other to support local community events.

Visitor Facing Events

We invite applications to support visitor facing events that have strong potential to attract visitors from outside the local area, whether that's from other regions or other countries and that will have a positive impact on the local economy, such as by generating revenue for local businesses, creating jobs, or promoting the region as a tourist destination.

Community Events

Community based events that have a positive impact on the community it serves, whether that means bringing people together, promoting local businesses, or raising awareness for a particular local cause are also invited to apply.

The detail...

> The latest round of grant funding to support events is now open. All applications for the financial year 2023/24 must be received before 31January 2024 for events supported between May 2023 and end March 2024.

> Applications will be assessed on a first come first served basis and awarded until which time the events grant pot is fully allocated. Applications will be assessed on a monthly basis, with dates advised when you contact the Events Officer to discuss your proposal.

> Grant funding of up to £2500 per application is available, and any grant awarded must not exceed 50% of the total event costs.

> All events must be based in the Vale of Glamorgan.

> See the Guidance Notes for full details.

Interested in applying?

Applicants must discuss their event idea with the Events Officer before submitting an application. Eligible applicants will be sent an application form to complete thereafter.
