Attractions

Masses to choose from inthe Vale of Glamorgan. Couples, families and solo travellers love the variety...

One of the best things about our convenient little corner ofWales, is that... as well as being easily reached by road, rail and air... and as well as being right next to the bustling capital... and as well as being a hop, skip and a jump from the Brecon Beacons National Park... everything you can enjoy in our beautiful, rolling green county, is within 20 miles across by 10 miles top to bottom..!

It's brilliant!... Fitting heaps into a vacation in theVale, is a piece of cake!

Whether you're looking for sun, sea and sand, with fairgrounds, candy floss and paddling, or an adventure for the children, with animals, play parks and dinosaurs, or walking and interactive history, with wine tasting or a gin-making experience... we're pretty sure we've got you covered.

Whatever you do, don't miss Barry Island...

A trip to the Vale wouldn't quite be complete without a day at Barry Island. Loved for generations, it really does have everything for a perfect day at the seaside. Make sure to include it on your travels.

The Pleasure Park is great fun. 'Aerospace' is the tallest ride in the UK at 215ft (65m) and fastest too, spinning at 75mph (120kph)!There's the giant wheel with amazing views, the log flume, and lots of other hair-raising rides, with all the fun of the fair.

Toddlers and youngsters love the gentler fairground and trampolines near the beach, and with Smuggler's Cove crazy golf, 'Gavin andStacey' sights to see, the sandy beach and rock pools, the promenade, and Nellsand Friars Point to walk for incredible views... you'll be so glad you came.

Loads of other attractions to try, and never far away...

Fonmon Castle has dinosaurs, or there's Warren Mill FarmPark's furry friends. Celebrate aviation at the South Wales Air Museum, or distil your own gin at Hensol Castle. Watch a show at the Memo, or walk at Cosmeston Lakes. Sip wine in Llanerch vineyard, or take a 'Gavin and Stacey' bus tour!

Take a look through all the attractions, and you'll see that there's plenty of... places to do in a day, treats to tuck into your trip, experiences to weave into a weekend, and memories to make on your holiday.
