Barry Island Beach Huts

Barry Island has 24 vibrantly coloured beach huts with excellent views across Whitmore Bay.

Two blocks of twelve huts sit either side of the visually stunning climbing wall and take centre stage on the rejuvenated eastern promenade.

The larger huts are around 2.4m x 2.5m, while the smaller cabins are around 2.5m x 1.8m. Both are designed to provide families and groups visiting Barry Island with a comfortable base for the day as well as private area to change and store possessions.

Autumn/Winter (opening hours 10:00am – 6:00pm)

Beach Hut autumn/winter opening hours run from November to March. However specific dates and charges may vary from year to year. Please note there are no half day bookings during autumn/winter.

Small Huts: Full Day £7.10

Large Huts: Full Day £13.20

Spring/Summer (opening hours 10:00am - 8:00pm)

Beach Hut spring/summer opening hours run from April to October. However specific dates and charges may vary from year to year.

Small Huts: Full Day £21.80

Large Huts: Full Day £37.20

Beach Wheelchairs - All-terrain beach wheelchairs are available at Barry Island. Please email tourism@valeofglamorgan.gov.uk to book yours.

Wedding Ceremonies - You can now get married in one of our Beach Huts.

The beach huts at Barry Island provide a unique venue for your ceremony. Make your vows inside a beach hut or in one of our beautiful outdoor areas. Vale Ceremonies can conduct your ceremony under the Witch’s Hat or on top of the Eastern Shelter and you’ll be guaranteed a spectacular view, whichever you choose. Enquire here
